Questions about an official Gilpin County docket, hearing, ROA, or filed document must go to the office that keeps the record. State County Court and District Court files belong to the Clerk of the Gilpin Combined Court. Central City and Black Hawk municipal records remain with their city courts or clerks. The routes below identify where to start.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull dockets, change or reset court dates, remove or seal cases, issue certified copies, or give legal advice for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the clerk of court or the trial court directly.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the channel that matches the Gilpin County information needed:

  • A hearing date: use the official Colorado Judicial Branch Gilpin Docket Search, then confirm changes with the clerk
  • An ROA or filed document: submit the official Record/Document Request Form or ask the Combined Court clerk
  • A certified copy: request authentication from the clerk that holds the original file
  • A hearing transcript: follow the Judicial Branch transcript request route, which is separate from a Transcript of Judgment
  • A city case: contact Central City at 303-582-5251 or Black Hawk Municipal Court at 303-582-1727, based on the issuing court

The primary state-court records office is the Clerk of the Gilpin Combined Court, 2960 Dory Hill Road, Suite 200, Black Hawk, CO 80422. Call 303-582-5522 or email GilpinClerksOffice@judicial.state.co.us. The clerk counter is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mail goes to the Clerk of the Combined Court at the same address. General court dockets can begin before the public counter opens, so a scheduled hearing time should not be treated as a counter hour.
